Doolittle and many a groom have made this same request. Transportation to and from the wedding may be with the groomsmen or with your parents; in a car, taxi, or limo; or maybe even an antique auto or horse-drawn carriage. Whatever you decide, remember to arrange it well in advance of your special day so you, too, can get to the church on time!
Most couples will choose to ride with family or to rent a limousine. You'll need to figure out who will need transportation and who should travel together. Usually the bridesmaids and bride prepare together and travel together to the ceremony, so a limo is a good choice for them. Will the bride's parents and grandparents also travel in the limo? How will the bride and groom (and their attendants) get to the reception? And who will prepare the getaway car for the bride and groom?
	Working out the details of transportation will make for a smooth transition between events and a more relaxing and enjoyable wedding day! What if the traditional car or limo seems boring to you? If someone in your family has a cool car, ask for the use as your wedding present. Maybe they'll even act as chauffeur!
Depending on the wedding location, you could also travel by boat: ferry, canoe, or maybe lobster boat! Will you ride in on a horse...or a bicycle?! Or maybe a trolley car or carriage is more your speed? Your choice for wedding transportation is just another way to show your individuality and make your day unforgettable!
